Here are the best tips and tricks when it comes to cleaning your grout.
Hot Water and Dish Soap
The truth of the matter is that you don’t need to go to extreme lengths in order to have your grout and tile beautiful and clean. Make sure that you keep the water hot and you use just a little bit of dish soap. Then you are going to want to have a stiff nylon brush that you’ll be able to get a good grip on. Just work a section at a time. After you have scrubbed away and worked on one section you will then need to make sure that you wipe it up. The tile face and grout get dirty when you mop over it with water and then don’t get wiped up by a towel afterwards. This causes the dirty water to just sit there until it dries.
When things get Tough
Sometimes you’ll find that there are specks attached to your tile face that won’t come off with a scrub brush. This means that you must do more than just hit it a couple of time with hot soap and water. At this point if you have porcelain or ceramic, you’ll be ok to take a razor blade to the tile face to get it off. However, if you have a natural stone tile on your floor or bathroom you need to make sure the blade isn’t going to scratch it.
