Hard Water Stains

If you have a glass enclosure, then you probably see the water stains pretty clearly. If you don’t have a glass enclosure, that doesn’t mean you don’t have water stains. Water stains are able to appear on your tile face as well. What can you do when you have hard water stains going on? The first thing you can do is prevent them from forming in the first place. This means that you’re going to need to put a little bit more work into your shower once you’re done. What we mean is that you’ll want to squeegee your glass and tile.

If you’re already past the point of being able to squeegee your tile and glass and have hard water stains, what is the next step? In all honesty it depends on how bad the water stains are. You want to catch it as early as possible, when you do, you won’t have to use hard chemicals to get it off. Typically, you can get it off with a scrub brush, soap, and hot water. If you can’t though, Spot-X would be the next best thing. You would want to use a nylon scrub pad to apply it. Just make sure that it won’t cause scratching to your glass.

Calcium Build Up

Calcium build up usually happens on your shower floor. If you have tile, pebbles, or stones on your shower floor then you have probably started to see these white veiny lines forming. This is calcium build up. It is very difficult to get rid of once it starts to develop. To get it off your shower floor, you have to scrape it off. This is a hard and tedious job, that will take time. If you don’t have any then that is great! To make sure that it doesn’t start to build up, simply wipe up the excess water with a towel when you’re done with your shower.
